Well, I've been neglecting my DevArt.... ^_^;;;

There's a pretty good explanation for that, though: I have a job! XD An honest-to-goodness, full-time, this-means-I-am-essentially-a-graduate, job!!



I'm working at a local animation studio, which is currently doing what they tout as 'the first feature-length animated movie done entirely by a Filipino crew'. It's called 'Dayo' which is Tagalog for foreigner or stranger.

It's pretty cool to be a part of such a project - and on my first foray into the working world, to boot!

It IS harder than I thought it would be, though. I'm on cleanup duty, which means I'm given work done by the animators and tasked to edit and/or redraw them, making sure that they all match final character designs near-perfectly. Sometimes that means doing some touch-ups here and there, and then just tracing the rest of the animator's work; more often, though, it means I have to redraw some 20+ frames, like I was the one animating the scene, because the kindly grandfather character suddenly looks like a grizzled war veteran sporting Jay Leno's massive chin. ^_^;;;

It's hard work, sure, but to be fair, I AM just starting out. At least I'm getting paid for my work now. Look! Money!!
